I want to alert you to a dangerous game that your student or one of
your student’s friends might be involved in playing. There are reports
that this is happening in Tillamook County and in our School District.
Perhaps you have heard of the “Choking Game." Middle age and high
school age students here and around the state have video taped
themselves or others engaged in this activity on their cell phones.
Teens
also refer to this as "The Choking Game, Space Monkey, Knock Out,
Flatlining and The Fainting Game. The object of the dangerous activity
January 18th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and there will not be school that day. However, we will have school on Friday, January 22nd.
Whether it is the normal "seasonal flu" or the H1N1/Swine Flu, you need to be concerned. Please read the letter from the superintendent.
